Stanislavsky For The Screen

Stanislavsky For The Screen

Set yourself free! Stanislavski for the Screen aims to help students work more effectively and freely in their own skin while in front of the camera. Focus will be on working from the inside out, and exploring physicality to connect with the text, and developing an immediacy of connection between actor, material, and the camera to fully realize the character.  This eight week course will cover advance Sensory Work and core exercises of the Stanislavsky System and the Method approach to acting. Learn the difference between Sense Memory, Affective Memory, and Emotional Recall, and how to apply them to your work. The course will also cover, in-depth, the exercises of Substitution, Animal Work, and Relaxation. Learn how to choose the right exercise for every scene, and how to "stop acting" and let the work effortlessly perform for you.
