Chad Darnell is a casting director with experience in extras, location and principal casting across film and television. He began his career in Georgia working with Cynthia Stillwell, spent six years at Central Casting in Los Angeles (credits include Spider-Man, Scary Movie 2, Alias), and has cast regionally on projects such as Selma, Magic Mike XXL, The Vampires of the Velvet Lounge, Bride Hard, Dead Money, and Atlantis.

Students will have the opportunity to experience all three audition scenarios: self-tape, in person, and a cold read. Actors will be given mock sides ahead of time and be required to self-tape. They will receive feedback and have the opportunity to read again. Afterward, they will get a cold read on the spot to improve how they make spontaneous choices. This intensive class will conclude with a Q&A.
